A template is only useful if it survives first contact with a real project. These are the formats our own engineers work from, stripped of client specifics: test case and test plan structures, release and launch checklists, bug report formats, and worked test-case sets for the features almost every product has. Where a spreadsheet is the right format you get a spreadsheet, not a picture of one, and every template comes with a short note on how to adapt it rather than just the blank grid.
