MyLOFT, short for My Library on Fingertips, is a digital content ecosystem developed by Eclat Engineering that gives academic institutions, researchers and students seamless access to their subscribed eResources across every device. The platform spans a mobile app for Android and iOS, a web application and a Chrome extension, all built around one unified experience for discovering, saving, organising and reading digital content offline.
MyLOFT serves academic institutions across India, including VIT, JIPMER, PGIMER and DTU. Its feature set includes voice-enabled universal search, tag-based content organisation, single sign-on across multiple publisher subscriptions, offline reading and cross-device sync. As the platform grew in reach and complexity, structured, multi-platform QA became critical to keep delivery consistent and reliable across every surface.

Our engagement
Our team engaged with MyLOFT from the ground up, starting with a thorough understanding of the product requirements before a single test case was written. That requirement-first approach kept every test case purposeful and traceable, covering the functional workflows that mattered most to the platform's academic user base: eResource access, content organisation, offline reading, voice search and cross-device sync.
A platform matrix was built to cover the full breadth of environments MyLOFT needed to support. It spanned five browsers across Windows and Mac, Chrome, Firefox, Edge and Safari, WebView-based testing on Android and iOS, and full functional and UI testing of both native mobile apps. Each combination was validated across multiple testing types: smoke testing for build readiness, exploratory testing to surface edge cases, and regression testing to protect against regressions across releases.
Beyond execution, our QA engineers surfaced implementation suggestions that went past bug reporting, pointing out usability gaps and behavioural inconsistencies that strengthened the product before launch. The engagement closed with a formal signoff report, giving the MyLOFT team a structured, documented basis for their go-live decision.
