DeskFactors is a business messaging and team communication platform built to compete in the fast-growing real-time messaging space. Designed for teams that need a reliable, feature-rich alternative to mainstream messaging tools, DeskFactors delivers real-time chat, group conversations and rich media sharing across web and mobile, on both Android and iOS.
The platform consists of a web-based admin portal for management and configuration, and a user-facing frontend application, both tested across Windows and Chrome, and macOS and Safari. As the product matured and the team accelerated release cycles, DeskFactors needed a structured QA partner to validate quality across every surface, enforce consistent release standards, and confirm that every build was production-ready before going live.

Our engagement
Our two QA engineers integrated directly into the DeskFactors development team, taking full ownership of quality across the web admin portal, the user-facing frontend and both mobile apps. Daily Zoom stand-ups kept the QA team in sync with development sprints, while Jira served as the single source of truth for requirement understanding, defect logging and test progress tracking.
Test cases were authored and maintained in structured spreadsheets, with a coverage matrix ensuring traceability from every requirement to its corresponding test scenarios. Functional and UI testing ran systematically across all four environments, Windows and Chrome, macOS and Safari, Android and iOS, confirming nothing behaved differently across platforms before a build was signed off.
A cornerstone of the engagement was the formal release go/no-go process. Before each deployment, our QA team assessed test execution status and open defect severity, then issued a structured recommendation, giving DeskFactors' product and engineering leadership the confidence to ship or hold based on real quality data. Daily reports and weekly summaries kept full visibility throughout, and the result was a disciplined, process-driven QA function that kept production clean and releases predictable.
